Musings: Good Vibes 2018

5 things I learnt from going to Good Vibes this year:
  1. VIP tix was worth the price, because front row watching Lorde 😌

  2. I'm much older than most of the crowd

  3. So many cute/hot/pretty/interesting-looking people but #2 😂

  4. Genting hotel etc establishment is pretty impressive

  5. I underestimated how many people gamble

I may elaborate and add more input... we'll see.

Kyoto (2016, October)

Kyoto was once upon a time Japan's capital, before Tokyo. It is a charming historical city well-known for its temples, shrines, and eyegasmic landscapes. My family and I went to Kyoto on the same day we went to Nara . Our tour group spent (only!) the morning here though, which is obviously not enough. The trip was a nice teaser for another trip to Kyoto, I suppose.

Manga Review: Mayonaka no Waltz

Source: Anilist.co My Review This is a oneshot comic that is part of a collection of manga by Nagabe that features anthromorphic animals. I have to admit, this theme is not something I am used to reading, but it was suggested to me by my friend Nana (with a content warning), so I was intrigued. This was a short read, but it made me contemplate a lot on the idea of identity... as a human being who is uncomfortable in the skin they were born in, as someone who struggles with impostor syndrome, as someone who always feels out of place etc. I appreciate manga (or anything really) that hands me questions to reflect on and/or leads me to feel stuff, and this does both.  I wonder if I'll ever find answers to all the question
